Struggling to improve your English but don’t know where to start? The confusion ends here! In this blog, we’ll help you learn English in 30 days with a simple plan—whether you’re a student, a busy professional, or a multitasking parent. The key? Practicing all four aspects of communication: reading, listening, speaking, and writing. Stick to this routine daily, and you’ll see a massive improvement in your fluency. Let’s dive in!
1. Start Your Day with Reading (10 Minutes)
Each morning, dedicate at least 10 minutes to reading in English. The best option is an English newspaper, but if that’s not available, you can read a magazine, a storybook, or any detailed article.
However, scrolling through Instagram or Twitter doesn’t count! Reading helps you learn new words, understand sentence structures, and expand your knowledge.
Personally, reading storybooks like Harry Potter and Roald Dahl novels played a huge role in improving my English.
2. Practice Speaking in English (10 Minutes)
Speaking is essential, and it must be with a real person—no apps, no mirror practice. Throughout the day, find 10 minutes to converse in English.
If you’re in college, talk to a friend; at work, chat with a colleague; or at home, call a friend or relative.
However, if you struggle to find a speaking partner, consider joining our communication skills course, then do check out the other options in the short below:
3. Improve Your Listening Skills (10 Minutes)
In the evening, when you’re winding down, spend 10 minutes actively listening to English.
This could be through a TV show, movie, or podcast—whatever interests you. You can even do this while commuting or relaxing at home.
To make it easier, I’ll share a list of great English shows and movies in the below short, do check it out!
4. End Your Day with Writing (10 Minutes)
Before bed, spend 10 minutes writing in English. Keeping a journal will not only improve your English but also enhance your personal growth. Write about:
1. Three good things that happened in your day
2. Three things that could have been better
3. Your goals or plans for the next day This simple exercise will reduce anxiety, improve focus, and give you a more restful sleep.
Summary:
That’s it! Just 40 minutes a day for 30 days, and you’ll see massive improvements in your English communication skills:
Morning: Read an article, book, or newspaper (10 mins)
Daytime: Speak in English with a real person (10 mins)
Evening: Listen to English content (10 mins)
Night: Write in a journal about your day (10 mins)
Think about it—most of us spend over two hours a day mindlessly scrolling on Instagram. Replacing just 40 minutes with this structured plan will make you a much better communicator in just a month!
